• start boiling the pasta water.
    • make sure to salt the pasta water!!  a healthy amount.
  • cut up broccoli into bite sized pieces
  • in the pantry there is a jar of “preserved lemon”. cut about 1/3 of a lemon. rinse it, and dice it up really small.
  • 3 minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli to the pasta water
  • heat 3-4 tablespoons butter in a pan with some minced garlic (like 1-2 teaspoons). after a minute, add the diced preserved lemon to the butter and garlic.
  • reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the pasta
  • add the pasta and the pasta water to the pan with the butter and garlic and lemon
  • add more butter if its too dry
  • grate parmesan cheese on top (the wedge is in the deli thing)
