make sure to salt the pasta water!! a healthy amount.
cut up broccoli into bite sized pieces
in the pantry there is a jar of “preserved lemon”. cut about 1/3 of a lemon. rinse it, and dice it up really small.
3 minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli to the pasta water
heat 3-4 tablespoons butter in a pan with some minced garlic (like 1-2 teaspoons). after a minute, add the diced preserved lemon to the butter and garlic.
reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the pasta
add the pasta and the pasta water to the pan with the butter and garlic and lemon
add more butter if its too dry
grate parmesan cheese on top (the wedge is in the deli thing)
